Fusing deep pulsating groove with soulful rock tunes, singer songwriter Andry Kamsani, Azhar Yusof (guitars), Juana Bajuri (bass) and Khuzairi Supari (drums), collectively known as Sound Salvation, surfaced onto the music scene in the mid-nineties after their coveted double-bill win at the 3rd Yamaha Music Quest (Singapore/ Asia Oceania) - an international pop and rock showcase that saw the likes of artistes such as Sally Yeh, Stevie Salas, Ada Band and Chage & Aska.
Formerly known as Tragedy 253, Sound Salvation was noted for their stirring lyrics and attention-grabbing 'live' performances. Their 1997 independent release; a five-track EP entitled Gerehem, received encouraging reviews but only enjoyed a niche group of listeners in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
Since then, the band had performed the region and worked extensively behind the scene for numerous projects before embarking on a recent business venture, Greendoor Studios, a new and expanding audio digital recording/ editing facility that aims to provide a platform to develop, provoke and support the evolution of contemporary music in Singapore.
Acting as the creative director, Andry, 34, said, Greendoor Studios was set up to author our work and other musically gifted individuals - working towards a vibrant music industry. Spearheading the string of projects lined up for Greendoor Studios, the band is set to release their first full-length album, Masih Bercinta.
