Backspace is a local 4-piece indie outfit that formed in 2005. The band released a 5 track ep entitled The Lavender Room in April 2006. The ep was recorded and mastered at Blackisle Studios between November 2005 and March 2006.
The music combines indie pop/rock sensibilities with a dreamy sense of melancholy, drawing inspiration from bands like The Cure, Lowgold, Teenage Fanclub and My Vitriol, and centres around themes of love lost, relationships and loneliness.
