Call for Baybeats 09 Photographers

Hello, all! We’ve got news for you: Baybeats is looking for four official Baybeats 2009 photographers!

If you’re between 15-25 years old and a fan of music and photography, wait no more! Send in your portfolio now!

The lucky four will:
- Be given special backstage passes to snap exclusive shots of Baybeats 2009.
- Attend a Bitesize Gig Photography 101 talk on 15th August 2009, conducted by Aloysius Lim, an experienced photographer who has taken tons of photographs for Coldplay, Linkin Park, The Police, Black Sabbath, etc.
- Have their photos showcased on the Baybeats 2009 website, and during Baybeats 2010.
-Have selected photos exhibited at *Scape in September 2009.

What you have to do:
1. Compress and zip your picture files. (Please submit no more than FIVE of your best photos).
- Sample photos should include at least two shots of artists in live-play or crowd shots taken at any music event.
- All samples are to come with a caption.

2. State your name, contact number, age, I/C no., and the school at which you’re studying, either in your email or post entry.

3. Email your zipped file to baybeats@esplanade.com if your file size is not more than 3MB.
OR
Post your CD of the images to: Winnie Chan, The Esplanade Co Ltd, 1 Esplanade Dr, S038981.
- All submissions via post or email should reach us no later than 3rd July 2009.

4. The lucky four will hear from the Baybeats organisers via email on 8th July 09!

Important points to note:
1. Please note that you will not be compensated monetarily for your submissions, whether or not used by The Esplanade Co Ltd (TECL). This competition is an opportunity for your professional growth, development and public exposure as a photographer and we hope that you will take it in this spirit.

2. Entrants who are selected to become official festival photographers agree that TECL may obtain, reproduce and broadcast images taken during Baybeats 2009 by any electronic, digital or other means, provided that these recordings and images are used solely for the purpose of promoting the artists, the said event, Esplanade- Theatres on the Bay or the arts in Singapore in general, which may include free screenings of such recordings and images in their entirety either at the Esplanade- Theatres on the Bay or at any venue which TECL is using for the said promotion.

3. Due credit will be given to photographers whose works are selected and used by TECL.
